History of Kauai Community College
Kauai Community College was founded in 1965 and is located in Lihue, Hawaii on the island of Kauai. We are
accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC). Our mission is to provide an
open access education and training in an ethical and innovative student-centered and community-focused
environment, nurturing life-long learners who appreciate diversity and lead responsible and fulfilling lives.

Kauai Community College offers over 20 associate
degrees and over 50 certificates, including Auto Body Repair and Painting, Culinary Arts, Hawaiian Studies, Liberal Arts and Nursing, to name a few. At Kauai Community College, we believe that all our graduates should possess a solid grounding in the major areas of knowledge, the capability to be productive individuals and life-long learners, and an understanding of what it means to be ethical and effective citizens. All certificates and associate degree curricula include study of the cultural, social and/or natural environment. |
